The WRRB Board and Staff travelled to Whatì earlier this month for its Board meeting on June 13-14. On the first night, the WRRB also co-hosted a community supper with the Wek’èezhìı Land and Water Board (WLWB). Masi cho to the community for its hospitality and to everyone who came out to sit in on the meetings and join us for lunch each day and the Meet and Greet community supper. Whatì Chief Alphonse Nitsiza introduced the Wek’èezhìı Renewable Resources Board and the Wek’èezhìı Land and Water Board at the community supper on Tuesday night (June 13).
WRRB Chair Grant Pryznyk welcomed community members to the community supper and spoke about the Board's role in wildlife, plants, forests and protected areas management in Wek’èezhìı.
