This Ɂekwę́ Conservation Plan is based on Délı̨nę Got’ı̨nę godı́ (stories) and ɂeɂa (laws and principles) passed down by the ɂehtséokǝ (grandparents).  In preparing the plan, Délı̨nę Got'ı̨nę seek to achieve three things: 1. Build consensus on the community’s vision for the people and ɂekwę́ in the future; 2. Develop a plan of action that is realistic and supports the vision; and, 3. Build support for a Délı̨nę Got'ı̨nę approach to ɂekwę́ conservation within the community, the region, the NWT, and beyond.
