This report describes the results of a calving ground photo survey of the Sahtì Ekwǫ̀ (Bluenose-East caribou) herd conducted in June of 2018 near Kugluktuk, NU. The objective was to estimate abundance of breeding females and overall herd size that could be compared to results of previous calving ground surveys done in 2010, 2013 and 2015. |

The WRRB wishes to advise that its Public Hearing related to the 2019 Sahtì Ekwǫ̀ (Bluenose-East caribou) Herd Joint Management Proposal is scheduled for April 9-11, 2019 in Behchokǫ̀, NT at the Behchokǫ̀ Cultural Centre. The Hearing will begin daily at 9:30 a.m. MDT and go to 4:30 p.m. MDT. Daily opportunities for the general public to make statements will be provided. |
