In preparing the plan, Délı̨nę Got'ı̨nę seek to achieve three things: 1. Build consensus on the community’s vision for the people and ɂekwę́ in the future; 2. Develop a plan of action that is realistic and supports the vision; and, 3. Build support for a Délı̨nę Got'ı̨nę approach to ɂekwę́ conservation within the community, the region, the NWT, and beyond.
