In memory of Moise Rabesca

The Wek’èezhìı Renewable Resources Board (WRRB) and staff are deeply saddened by the passing of Moise Rabesca. Moise was a former Board Member as well as the Board’s member of the NWT Species at Risk Committee (SARC).

Having been raised on an island in the North Arm of Great Slave Lake with ten brothers and sisters of his blended family, he learned the ways of survival in the north. This knowledge was invaluable to the WRRB and SARC when making decisions about the wildlife and land in Wek’èezhìı.

Moise brought incredible knowledge, joy, and laughter to everything he did. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our deepest condolences to Moise’s family, friends, and community.
