Join us in giving a warm “welcome back” to a familiar face: Karin Clark!
Karin is returning to the Board as our temporary Conservation Biologist while Aimee is away on maternity leave. We wish Aimee all the best during this exciting time.
Before moving on to the GNWT, Karin spent five years as the WRRB’s Wildlife Management Biologist, contributing to a wide range of projects supporting wildlife education and management across the region. In 2013, she continued her career as the Research and Management Manager, with the GNWT’s Department of Environment and Climate Change (ECC), Wildlife Division, working in Cumulative Effects before retiring in 2026. Shortly after retiring from the GNWT, Karin was back with the WRRB to cover Aimee’s maternity leave, bringing her career in wildlife management full circle.
From leading science camps on the barren lands to co-authoring the Common Fish in the Tłı̨chǫ Region Guide, Karin has been involved in many aspects of the WRRB’s work. These are just a couple of highlights from her time with the Board.
Welcome back, Karin! We’re thrilled to have you back on the team.
