Thomas Lafferty

Thomas is the Community Director of Behchokǫ̀ with Tłı̨chǫ Ndek’awoo (Tłı̨chǫ Government), bringing experience in Occupational Health and Safety, consulting, surveying, and reliability coordination to his role on the WRRB. Thomas offers both professional expertise and a strong personal connection to the land. Raised in the Tłı̨chǫ way of life through hunting, trapping, and fishing, he was taught the importance of respecting and protecting the land and animals that sustain communities. His work with the WRRB reflects that lifelong commitment, allowing him to contribute to wildlife stewardship and co-management in a meaningful way. He has been a Board Member since 2024.
