In August, WRRB staff and Board members spent five days at Deèzàatì (Point Lake), combining their quarterly Board meeting with time out on the tundra. With the first hints of fall beginning to show across the landscape, the group had an opportunity to fish, explore the land, and experience the wildlife in the area.
One special moment came when Board member Stu Niven was berry picking near camp and spotted a hozı̀ı ejıe (muskox) that the group had admired earlier in the day. The muskox suddenly appeared from behind a nearby hill, and Stu captured some amazing phots of the encounter.

From the wildlife and landscape to the hospitality at the lodge staff, the trip was a memorable experience for the WRRB. Masi cho to Peterson Point Lake Lodge, and everyone who helped make the trip so special!
