Population Estimates for the Cape Bathurst and Bluenose-West Barren-Ground Caribou Herds Using Post Calving Photography

This DRAFT report by John Nagy provides a description of how the retrospective analyses of the 1986, 1987, and 1992 photocensus survey data were done to derive population estimates of the Cape Bathurst, Bluenose-West & East herds, the methods used to generate population estimates of the herds during 1986, 1987, 1992, 2000, 2005, and 2006, and an evaluation of the fidelity of cows and bulls to post-calving/early summer ranges.
